thank you

for the outpouring of prayer, comments, emails, phone calls etc. Many of you brought tears to my eyes over and over yesterday. I was so touched and blessed by your kind words of encouragement and I could tell I was being prayed for.

I spent Friday pretty sedated with pain and anxiety medication. Miserably uncomfortable and bedridden, but not quite so agitated or anxious. Trying to take things hour by hour, minute by minute. Praying. Remembering to breath. Dwelling on scripture. Cuddling with my hubby.

For those of you who don't read our "normal" blog, Spencer cut his hand badly at work Friday, needing stitches. The poor guy doesn't have much use of his left hand right now. He'll be okay, but it's really hurting tonight and overall he is incredibly exhausted from taking care of his sick wife on top of fighting Lyme himself. Please pray that this weekend would be restful for him and that his hand will heal well - he doesn't have feeling in a large portion of his thumb right now and we're really praying it's just temporary - the doctor said a nerve might have been damaged.

Bless Spencer's heart.

This is a scary thought and I apologize for that, but just whenever I cut my body accidently, I imagine all the bacteria escaping and hitting the air.

Praying that he heals completely :) And praying for you two in general all the time.

Words fall short sometimes when I comment on your blog. I know, as you two do, that God does have some good outcome for your situation. But it's so hard not to ask "When?" Then I see the title of your blog and I'm reminded to "Wait Quietly." You are loved, dear Melody and Spencer, and always in our prayers. May God comfort and strengthen both of you. If there is anything we can do, even from afar, please let us know.

We are so sad for your sorrows upon sorrows. When it seems as if you have had all that you can take, remember that there are many, many people loving you and praying for both of you from afar.

Just got here and thankful for your update. Thought about you a lot today, and planned with Mom how and when we can best get her up there. Lots of love. Dad

I am continually praying for you both! And Spencer should generally not be allowed to use/hold/come in contact with sharp or could be sharp objects. (Shovel...knife...window...) I am praying that he heals very soon!
