My cognitive function has been quite impaired lately. Concentration, carrying on basic conversations, and performing even simple tasks has been incredibly difficult. It's so strange, to look back on what I was capable of, and to see how debilitated I have become. I feel like a shell of the person I once was.
So...lots of changes these days..
We are now down in Southern CA.
This coming Monday, we head for the East Coast to see a Lyme specialist. Crazy, eh? We've been praying about this for months and decided to just take the plunge and see someone really good. Stay tuned for more details...
Spencer was started on Bicillin shots last month. So far, no huge change, but we are seeing subtle improvement in his headaches, so we're hopeful for further progress.
Not much new with me. Struggling immensely physically. I'm on the tail end of a big die-off reaction, so my symptoms haven't been quite as severe the past couple of days, thankfully. Still dealing with a lot of pain and neurological stuff, but not quite so weak.
Well, this is all I can manage. I really want to elaborate and blog more often, as there is a lot going on in our lives, but don't have the mental capacity or energy right now.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers...we need them, especially regarding wisdom about treatment options, medical expenses, and dealing with our insurance company.

I really hope you get some good advice from the doctor on the east coast- and I will be praying for you both.
Even though we're sitting in the same room right now, do know of our continued love and support. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers as you travel. Love you! Dad
Thinking of you and praying for your trip ever since (and before, of course!) Todd got up to take you to the airport. God will be faithful, I'm sure, to use this doctor to improve your health. Afterall, He is the provider of this blessing for you. It will be a challenging trip for you, Melody, but worth the energy spent. Love you both!
I can't wait to hear what the big LLMD had to say... I know who he is and have even been graced with his presence (um about 200 feet away .. I was too big of a sissy to go say hello since he's not my doctor).
Hi Melody! I am glad that move went well but sad to see you are having more challenges physically. I can relate! Who are you seeing on the East Coast? Did you decide to go to the famous Dr. J in SC? I have an appointment w/ him on July 14th. Let me know! Praying for you guys!!!
