bartonella

I've got it. Yesterday I was really bummed when I found out.

I'm not sure why I was so disappointed. I knew it was very likely that I had lyme co-infections - that's why we decided to bother testing for them. I guess a small part of me was holding out hope that I wouldn't have anything else.

I'm feeling better about it today. Spencer was great about encouraging and cheering me up last night. Still a little bummed, because it's one more thing to deal with and treat - and right now, "one more thing" feels like too much to bear.

But I really am putting effort into staying positive and trusting God with this. Trying to take things a step at a time.

I have more to say, but I'm really struggling with pain and it's already taken a long time to type out the above. Another day.

There are some links on Bartonella.

Also meant to ask that typically is treated by Zithromax or Levaquin. I was on both, but not necessarily at the same time. So if you're on either of those right now, you may be covered for Bartonella.

Also ask about the link for those homeopathic vials I sent you. What I do .. is if I have questions .. I type them out in a word document. That way when it's close to my appointment, I print it out and put it on the door. That way when I'm on my way out to the appointment, I can grab the paper and go.

Also I print off information I received to ask about when I went in. So you may just want to print off that website I sent you via email.

Did you test negative for the other infection?

love you lots, mom

Melody, also know that if your other co-infection tests came back negative ... they may not actually be negative.

My doctor explained it like ... it's like dipping a small sponge into an Olympic sized pool of germs. You may not get all the germs in one sponge.

I am so sorry for this additional complication in your already-too-complicated health. Very sad for you, Melody.

Since this is your more medically explicit blog, could you explain in a few words how bartonella interacts with Lyme, and how the treatment protocal and recovery prognosis is altered. But if that would take too much effort, I understand.
